What is the Chisholm Trail Communities Foundation?

The Chisholm Trail Communities Foundation’s mission is to help donors
fulfill their goals for charitable giving.

We accomplish this by providing information and resources to people
who care about causes and charities, and by working with professional
advisors to help their clients incorporate charity into their financial and
estate plans. We help donors give a meaningful gift now, over time, or
even to build legacies for future generations. As a flexible, responsive
service organization, we provide a variety of giving vehicles, professional
resources, and support to help donors plan their contributions. We seek to
make charitable giving easy, accessible, effective, and efficient.

In addition to making charitable giving simple, we assist donors in their
charitable giving by helping them make informed choices about the nonprofits
they wish to support. To do this, we have developed strong relationships with
nonprofits in the area, working with them to build their capacity through direct
grantmaking, technical assistance, and to build their organizational funds
through our careful investment.

By working with nonprofit organizations, we learn more about programs that
reach underserved populations and enrich the lives of our citizens. We are then
able to offer donors helpful information about these organizations—such as our
databank of area nonprofits—as well as provide them with resources on nonprofit
best practices. This helps donors understand the activities and challenges of
nonprofits today, and to identify those in alignment with their charitable goals.
It also helps them understand the evolving changes and challenges of the
communities throughout the Williamson County area.

We also leverage our strong connection with the nonprofit sector to improve
communication between the nonprofit sector and the greater community at large,
serving as a resource for those seeking to understand the area’s growth and the
organizations that work to serve these areas of need.

In December 2008, the Chisholm Trail Communities Foundation was confirmed in
compliance with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations by the Council
